Temporary lodging at Maxwell Air Force Base is provided by the Maxwell and Gunter lodging facilities which consist of 41 buildings. Maxwell Reservations can be made by calling 334-953-1690 or DSN 312-493-1690. Gunter Reservations can be made by calling 334-416-4656 or 334-270-4000 or (DSN) 312-493-2353. You can also get accommodations by contacting the University Inn which also provides accommodations. Space-available reservations can be made 24 hours in advance. Military personnel can stay up to 30 days if approved when first arriving at Maxwell Air Force Base. For outgoing military, 7 days in the maximum authorized days. The best months for availability of temporary lodging are the months of November and December.
